[ Oh by the Maker's eyeballs, this is the most pointless exercise in frustration he can think of. Fumbling with the phone for a bit he finally manages to figure out the button that turns the reply to video, and a moment later Legolas gets a rather fetching close-up of Fíli's face (it's mostly just his nose and moustache, really) as he frowns at the phone. ]

Hello? [ This close, his voice sounds even louder as he practically shouts at the device. Feeling rather silly as he does it too, admittedly. ]

[ Legolas, in turn, flinches away from the noise, but all too soon he is laughing and responding in kind, that is with video. He's holding the phone at the right distance at least, so his voice carries well and his face shows in full. ]

Not so loud, nor so close! [ A beat, then he can't help but tease. ] Though it is fascinating how much larger your nose seems right now, did it grow since the last time we have spoken?

Or perhaps it is the going of this device's magicks?

[ Fíli lets out a small chuckle, moving the phone indeed, though not too far just yet. Instead the view just shifts from his nose to his eye, then a little wider to catch a glimpse from forehead to his chin, although only of half his face. ]

Charming as ever, Prince Legolas.

[ Then he goes about doing as instructed, the video shaking as he moves the phone this way and that, finally managing to hold it up at a more decent distance. ]

[ Then it's Legolas's turn to chuckle, to give a small sound of pleased amusement at the banter they exchange. Though Fili has shown wholly justified distrust upon their first meeting, it has quickly - much to Legolas's delight - melted away into friendliness and playfulness. ]

Very much so. [ He says, then makes it a bit of a show to look curiously and regard Fili for but a second. ] And I can see now better too, that indeed your nose is as charming as it has been before. Neither less, nor more so!

[ Fíli is nothing if willing to see the truth, and to admit that perhaps he was wrong in his assumptions. Over these few weeks Legolas has proven himself to be quite the opposite of what he had thought at first, and despite his initial wariness he has come to grown used to Legolas's presence, and enjoy it even. Surely the start of a friendship he did not expect, yet welcomes nonetheless. ]

Nor more? [ He narrows his eyes slightly, one eyebrow arched though the amusement is clear. ] You are quickly losing your touch when it comes to flattery, it seems.

[ Much like Kili and Gimli both, Fili is prone to the banter and playful talk, something Legolas enjoys thoroughly. ]

Compliments ought to be offered but from time to time, so they do not lose their effect. [ Though he is willing to offer them more often than most, to be true. Still, not too many in the span of barely seconds! ] It was not mere flattery, Master Hedgehog.

[ And it seems this name has stuck, at least for the odd moment now and again. ]

[ He feigns an unimpressed look, lips pressed into a thin line and eyebrow just barely raised. ]

Very well, then! Suppose I must exercise some patience and wait for whenever more compliments shall come. [ Patience, a trait not so common amongst dwarves, much less so his own family, and yet he excels when compared to Kíli, for instance. Still, this is all in good fun, nothing that does truly earn him being impatient. ]
